SoleTrackr is built on a single principle: your health and workout data is yours. It stays on your device. It always has. It always will.

SoleTrackr requests read-only access to Apple Health for the sole purpose of importing your running workouts. This access is used to read:
This data is read directly from Apple Health on your device and stored locally in the app. It is never transmitted to our servers. We do not request access to heart rate, sleep, blood oxygen, menstrual health, or any other health category.
You can revoke Health access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → SoleTrackr.
All data you create in SoleTrackr — your shoes, run assignments, mileage, notes, and settings — is stored locally on your device using Apple's native frameworks.
This data is included in your device's standard iCloud backup (the encrypted backup that Apple manages for you, not a SoleTrackr server). Restoring your device from backup will restore your SoleTrackr data.
We do not operate a database of your personal information. We do not have access to your shoe data, run history, or any information you enter into the app.
Here is a complete breakdown of data categories and how SoleTrackr handles each:

Sync+ is an optional paid subscription that enables data sync across your devices. If you subscribe to Sync+, the following applies:
Sync+ requires you to sign in with Apple ID. Genesis 37 Labs receives only the anonymized user identifier provided by Apple — never your name or email address.
SoleTrackr may collect anonymous, aggregated usage events to help us understand how the app is used and where to improve it. This is entirely opt-in and off by default.
If you opt in, the events we collect are limited to:
We do not collect the content of any event — no shoe names, distances, paces, or health values are included. Events contain only a timestamp, an anonymous session ID, and an event name.
You can opt out or review your analytics preference at any time in Settings → Privacy.
SoleTrackr integrates with the following Apple-provided frameworks. No third-party SDKs, advertising networks, or data brokers are used.
SoleTrackr does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is rated 4+ on the App Store and does not contain age-restricted content. If you believe a child has provided personal information through Sync+, contact us at privacy@soletrackr.com and we will delete it promptly.
Because most SoleTrackr data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times:

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and notify you within the app. Continued use of SoleTrackr after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
We will never change this policy in a way that reduces your privacy protections without explicit notice and, where required, your consent.
